As Chief Executive Officer of B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, Chris Myers leads the organization’s strategy, operations, and mission to expand access to responsible capital for small businesses. Since stepping into the role in 2020, Chris has helped shape a strong, values-driven culture through The B:Side Way, grounded in trust, clarity, and accountability. His leadership emphasizes team empowerment, operational efficiency, and innovative thinking, all in service of creating meaningful, lasting impact for small business owners and the communities B:Side serves.
As Chief Operating Officer of B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, Laurel Walk oversees loan production, funding, portfolio management, marketing, and sales teams. Since joining B:Side in 2008, she has played a key role in building strong internal teams, deepening lending partnerships, and ensuring the organization stays aligned with evolving Small Business Administration lending requirements. She has served on the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) board since 2021, reflecting her deep expertise and leadership across Certified Development Companies at the national level.
Karol Jones serves as Chief Financial Officer of B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, providing financial leadership that supports the organization’s long-term sustainability and impact for small businesses. Since joining B:Side in 2003, Karol has played an integral role in the growth of the organization and currently oversees finance and administration, human resources, compliance, and the B:Side Fund lending team. Her leadership emphasizes responsibility and transparency, ensuring financial strategy remains closely aligned with B:Side’s mission and impact.
Lauren joined the organization in 2012 and currently serves as the Director of Sales and Marketing for B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund. She leads brand strategy, business development, and outreach efforts that support B:Side’s growth and empowers the team to execute with clarity and purpose. Lauren’s data-driven, relationship-focused approach has played a key role in strengthening B:Side’s market presence, advancing the organization’s mission to expand access to responsible capital.
Jessica Stutz joined the team in 2010 and currently serves as B:Side Capital’s Lending and Priority Assets Director, leading the Small Business Administration 504 Loan Production and Priority Assets teams. Her work centers on continuous improvement, strong lending partnerships, and clear, efficient processes that better support B:Side’s customers. Through values-driven leadership and a strong commitment to service, Jessica plays an important role in advancing B:Side’s mission to support small businesses.
Rachel serves as B:Side Capital’s Lender Services Director, where she oversees the growth and expansion of B:Side’s Lender Service Provider (LSP) services, supporting lenders nationwide. Since joining B:Side in 2010, she has held multiple roles across the organization, building deep expertise in Small Business Administration programs. Rachel’s leadership emphasizes clear communication and consistent service, ensuring the team delivers an unmatched experience for both lending partners and borrowers.
As B:Side Capital’s Funding and Portfolio Director, Laura oversees the Portfolio Management and Funding teams, guiding projects from approval through closing. She focuses on clear coordination and attention to detail to help ensure a smooth path to the closing table for both borrowers and lending partners. Since joining B:Side in 2021, Laura has become a key leader within the organization, known for her collaborative approach and strong commitment to supporting small businesses at every stage of the funding process and beyond.
Marie serves as Fund Director for B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, where she leads the organization’s direct loan programs focused on supporting under-resourced small businesses and low-income communities. Since joining B:Side in 2012, she has played a vital role in building strategic partnerships and helping the organization achieve Certified Development Financial Institution and Community Development Entity status—milestones that help B:Side expand access to responsible capital. Marie leads with resilience, empathy, and trust, championing innovative solutions for the communities B:Side serves.
