Payments for Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans are processed through Wells Fargo, which is the central servicing agent for the SBA 504 program nationwide. While B:Side services your loan locally and remains your primary point of contact, payment processing is handled at the national level to ensure consistency across the program.

No. Property taxes are not escrowed on SBA 504 loans and remain the responsibility of the borrower to pay directly when due. Because tax timelines vary by county and state, we recommend contacting your local county office if you have specific questions about due dates or amounts.

Certain changes may require prior review and approval from the SBA. This can include updates to :

  • Business ownership
  • Legal structure
  • Property occupancy
  • Other significant operational changes

The SBA 504 loan program is designed to promote economic development and support job creation. As part of the program’s reporting requirements, borrowers may be asked to provide information confirming job creation or job retention. If you receive a request for a Jobs Certification, our team is happy to answer questions and guide you through what’s needed.
